Georgetown
Cabins are surrounded by 3.5 million acres of the
Gila National Forest
and Wilderness and have forever views of the
Black Range of
the Gila. Our
guests tell us they enjoy our big-blue domed sky, amazing
dark night skies, cool mountain breezes, and the total
emersion into nature.
Our cabins
are nestled on the side of Parapet Mountain at 6,800 feet,
overlooking what was once a historic 1800s silver mining
boom town.
Today, all that remains of the old town is a beautiful and
peaceful valley.
We are also
part of the
Magical Mimbres Valley and on the way to the
Gila National
Cliff Dwellings.
The nationally recognized arts and cultural community
of Silver City and
the frontier railroad town of
Deming are both
near. They have
many galleries, museums, state parks, and festivals!
There is
something close for everyone!
Explore the Trail
of the Mountain Spirits and the
Geronimo Trail Scenic Byways.
Venture out to visit many quaint mountain
communities, local wineries, lakes, streams, hot springs,
and ghost towns in the surrounding area.
Or if you prefer, just sit back and relax here at
Georgetown Cabins!!
