The bed was extremely comfortable.
We enjoyed hiking to the Jordan Warm Springs near the Gila
Cliff Dwellings Visitors’ Center.
It is about a 6 mile hike there with not too much elevation.
Toward the springs, you cross the river 15 times.
The scenery is so beautiful. There were high cliff walls to
look up at. We also
enjoyed going to the old
Georgetown
town site. It was neat
to look back at the cabins and see the individual designs.
It definitely looks like a little village or town on the
hillside. We will be back to explore some more!

cabins are lovely and the incorporation of green design is

internet availability, we could be connected when we needed to but
as unconnected as we wanted to be.

We took a 2.5 hour hike here and found many interesting
things. It was fun imagining the history of the area and the lives
of the former residents, climbing up the tailings for a panoramic
view, blooming cholla and nopal, star-gazing and watching

Hello! I came to Georgetown to study
the mysterious trout that live in the Gila River in the Black Canyon
area of the Gila National Forest and Mountains. Susie helped
me a lot to coordinate trips to Black Canyon. She provided me
with information and local volunteers to go to the river in search
of this trout. I have to say the habitat where the fish lives
is extraordinary. I stayed in the Judge Lucas Cabin for 9
days. This was the best cabin I have ever stayed in. Not
only was it beautiful but extremely comfortable and full of high
technology. The closest thing to paradise I can imagine!!
