I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed ourselves during our stay at your Georgetown Cabins over the Christmas weekend.  We especially appreciated the “White Christmas” you ordered up for us; the snow really enhanced our experience and forced us to relax more than we usually allow ourselves to. 

Upon arrival we found everything ready for us.  I found the Brannin Cabin to be immaculately kept, and the nicely done hunter/trapper motif to really fit my personality.  The “in-brief” you provided answered many questions before they could even be asked.  I love the design, layout, and lots of glass allowing one to take in the views.  The cabin feels very open and spacious and I never felt cramped anywhere.  The thought and expense that went into furnishing the cabin was immediately noticeable as well.  The recliners were right up my alley and were very comfortable.  I’m so much of a recliner guy that I put one in my 5^th wheel toy hauler so I was as comfortable as I would be at home or 5^th wheel!  The kitchen and dining areas were very well prepared and I could not think of a thing that was lacking.  Having satellite TV (when you wanted to watch some TV) is also a very nice touch; one I made good use of, particularly for watching the weather and some pro football, particularly the Green Bay Packer game on Christmas night.  Internet access is also great to have, particularly when we didn’t have the area cellular service provider, which allowed us to send email to our families, friends, and co-workers.  There was also lots of relevant reading material, so much so that there wasn’t enough time to read half of it!  The views from are fantastic, making reading even more difficult!  Nicely done! 

I have to say I am truly impressed with what the two of you have done there.  Being totally off the grid, making use of solar power with a backup generator, the 935’ deep well, cabins with all the modern conveniences and comforts and access to the outside world through technology, took a great deal of planning, effort, and expense, with the result being something truly unique. 

I sure have done a lot of “word of mouth” advertising since I’ve been home including showing off some of the pictures I took.  That’s how impressed I am with what you have done there.  Now I have to figure out when I can come back and for how long…and actually explore the area this time.  Even that will be hard as just kicking back enjoying the peace, quiet, and view, will be hard to break away from.  Ah, such difficult choices to have to make!  A lot of people just don’t know what they’re missing.

I found that staying at Georgetown Cabins was worth every penny paid and one of the few times I’ve been completely fine with what I paid to stay somewhere.  I really hope to be able to take your suggestion and take advantage of one of your 5-day specials; I just don’t know when that might be.

We had an awesome time here at Georgetown Cabins.  The silence is golden!  The sky at night spectacular! Wonderful! And the cleanest accommodations we have ever stayed at!  We stayed put here for our stay.  Just too beautiful and peaceful to leave! Relaxing and just hanging out! Lee Summit, MO
